Dr. Ellen McNally
was born and raised in Swansea, MA.
She attended the Universit y
of Massachusetts Dartmouth and received a Bachelor of
Science degree in Biology prior to attending New York Chiropractic
College. She graduated in
November of 2006 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
During this time Dr. McNally became certified in a state of
the art soft tissue treatment called Active Release
Technique (more commonly referred to as A.R.T.) as well as
Graston Technique. Dr. McNally also worked as a personal
trainer at New York Sports Club, obtaining her certification
from National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and a
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
Dr. McNally received the clinical achievement award for
distinguished service for her graduating class, in
recognition of her hard work and development of a
rehabilitative program for scoliosis.
Dr. McNally’s specialties include a full body A.R.T.
certified practitioner, including nerve entrapment & masters
certified, as well as an Ironman provider. Active Release is
a widely sought after treatment for overuse injuries,
particularly in the athletic community. Active Release has
treatment teams that work at every major Ironman event in
the United States,
including the Kona, HI Ironman World Championships. Dr.
McNally participates as part of the Lake Placid Ironman
treatment teams.
She is also certified in Graston soft tissue technique and
has an advanced certification in Kinesiotaping. She will be
using these techniques in conjunction with traditional
spinal & extremity chiropractic care to treat many different
biomechanical injuries.
Dr. McNally was the team chiropractor for the four person
team, TeamSaveBuzzardsBay.org during the 2009 Race Across
America (RAAM). This is a non-stop competitive bicycle race
that began in Oceanside,
CA and ended in Annapolis, MD.
In addition to providing care at the Ironman events, as well
as local shorter distance triathlon & running events, Dr.
McNally enjoys participating in Half-Ironman (70.3), Olympic
& Sprint distance triathlons.
Dr. McNally also incorporates time each week for Olympic
weight lifting and functional weight training to support her
love for those endurance sports.
