Dr. Ellen McNally was born and raised in Swansea, MA. She attended the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and then attended New York Chiropractic College. She graduated in November of 2006 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. During this time Dr. McNally became certified in a state of the art soft tissue treatment called Active Release Technique (more commonly referred to as A.R.T.). Dr. McNally also worked as a personal trainer during her final year of chiropractic school, obtaining her certification from National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and working for New York Sports Club.

Dr. McNally received the clinical achievement award for her graduating class, in recognition of her hard work and development of a rehabilitative program the school adopted and is using to conduct a research study. Today the program is underway at the NYCC clinic in Levittown, NY.

Dr. McNally is a full body A.R.T. certified practitioner and will be using this technique in conjunction with traditional chiropractic care to treat many different biomechanical injuries. Active Release is a widely sought after treatment for overuse injuries, particularly in the athletic community. Active Release has treatment teams that work at every major Ironman event in the United States, including the Kona, HI Ironman World Championships. Dr. McNally participates as part of the Lake Placid Ironman treatment team for 2006 and 2007.

In addition to providing care at the Ironman event as well as local shorter distance triathlon events, Dr. McNally is a triathlete herself. She currently trains for
Half-Ironman (70.3) distance triathlon events, as well as participating in shorter distance races.
